Promotion Tip! - Enthusiasm Sells!
Enthusiasm is a proven seller! Offline AND online!
Did you know that customer service representatives are
trained to smile when answering the telephone? A smile
can be 'heard' in the voice, therefore presenting a warm,
friendly and enthusiastic mood for the call. This
automatically makes the caller more receptive to the
customer service representative.
Enthusiasm when representing your product or service will
make your prospect enthusiastic too! Its easy to see and
hear enthusiasm, but how do you show enthusiasm in your
writing? Simple! Your mood will always reflect in your
words.
Two things will create immediate enthusiasm. Believe 100%
in your product or service and SMILE! Yes, physically smile!
Even though you are writing and no one can see you, smiling
lifts the spirits therefore creating a more enthusiastic mood.
Once your mood is right, your creative writing and enthusiasm
will flow. It is impossible to create enthusiasm while grumpy!
Enthusiasm simply cannot be faked! So get those enthusiastic
juices flowing! Believe in your product and SMILE! :)

7 Steps to Creating a Successful Internet Business
By Andrew LaPointe
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Internet is the great equalizer in the pursuit of profit. Small businesses can
compete head-to-head with corporate giants and win. So how do you, the aspiring
gnetrepreneurh, get started in the virtual world? Here are 7 steps you can
follow to create your own online success story:
#1: Get a name. I am not referring to your name as a person but your domain
name. Your domain name is how your customers locate you on the web. There are
two items you should keep in mind when selecting a domain name for your business:
a. Get a short or theme-based domain name. The shorter the better.
Unfortunately, many of the good, short domain names have already been taken.
If you cannot find a short domain name, select a theme-based name. Select a
domain that is easy to remember and describes your business. For example, if you
have a retirement planning site, a good name might be www.planningforretirement.com. It is
easy to remember, spell and is theme-based.
b. Purchase a gdot comh name. Dot comfs are the most
valuable and prestige names on the net. In addition, customers are most familiar
with the gcomh address (as in www.yourname.com).
#2: Donft use free hosting services. Free services are great for a family
page, but not a business. The main reason for not using them is that you will have a
long, complicated domain name. A domain name from a free service would look like: www.freeservicedomainname.com/yourname/.
The cost to purchase a gdot comh name is very inexpensive. It is only $35
per year. If you donft purchase a domain name for your business, how can your
customers take your site seriously?
#3: Select a good Internet service provider (ISP). A good ISP should provide
24 hour customer service, alias e-mail accounts, adequate disk space and Microsoft
FrontPage Extensions, (if you are creating your site with FrontPage). Your local
telephone book should give you several companies to select from.
#4: Select a Niche. Donft try to be all things to all people. There
are over 38+ million websites on the Internet and growing. Your site will be unable
to provide the best selection at the lowest price on every product and service in the
world. Select a niche and dominate it.
#5: Design your site with your customer in mind. Surprisingly, many sites are
designed for the owner rather than the customer. For your site to be successful, you
must do these three things: make your site appealing to the eyes, make it easy to
navigate, and provide up-to-date and valuable information.
#6: Create a marketing campaign to promote your site. Combine e-zines, banner
ads, search engine placements and offline advertising to promote your site. For
in-depth strategies to create an effective marketing campaign, read my article gHow to
Create a Strategic Web Advertising Campaignh.
#7: Test your strategies and track your results. Tracking your statistics will
tell you where your visitors are coming from. Continuously test and change your
strategies until you maximize your marketing efforts.

«¤»THOUGHTS TO THINK
ABOUT«¤»
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fix the problem, not the blame!
Think how much time and emotion we expend when we try to
place blame for something that didn't work, or try to
decide where the fault lies.
Rather than criticizing others, spend your time and energy
on solving the problem.
Spending time finding fault does not solve any problem,
it only monopolizes your time. If your focus is to find
fault, you will only end up with a lot more people spending
unproductive time covering their tracks. If anything goes
wrong, you can be assured that they will not be found at
fault; this is very ineffective.
Fixing the problems means that you are utilizing your own
personal resources to work in a more constructive and
positive way.
Fixing the problem, rather than fixing the blame, also
sets a positive example for others to follow!

«¤»ANSWERS
For The "PRO in MOTION"«¤»
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q. Why do I need a company name when I'm just working from home? (Susan A.)
A. To be considered professional, even home workers need a company name if
they are in business for themselves. You do want to be
taken seriously,
don't you? If so, you'll need to register a business name.
The registration I'm referring to is often called a "DBA" (Doing Business As), a
"Registered Alias" or an "Assumed Name Statement" in most States of
the USA. Ifm sure that agencies are provided for this purpose in countries outside
the USA.
Corporations are registered when they are formed. However, a company
name needs to be registered even if it's a sole proprietorship, i.e., individually owned
and unincorporated. Do you think that working on the Internet is exempt? It
isn't!
Actually, Ifm not even referring to the legal aspects of owning a
business. Itfs a simple matter of your degree of professionalism. If you are
taking money from people to provide a product or service - you are a business!
Without a business name registration, a bank won't give you a business
bank account. What? You don't need a business bank account? Are you
going to send refunds with your personal checks? Are you the same person who doesn't
want customers to know where you're located?
Are you in business, or not? Get your business registered and get a
business bank account.
@
Q. I join affiliate programs in order to be paid commissions on the
products
I promote. Do I really need a business name? (Bob W.)
A. Well, that depends. Technically, you are a broker for the companies
providing the products. You may choose to set up a company
for that.
However, if your chosen affiliate program companies take complete care of
the customer after the sale, there may be no reason for anyone to contact you. You
may simply be an independent contractor - which doesnft necessarily require a company
name.
Bear in mind though that the moment you begin publishing an ezine or
newsletter to promote those products - if you sell advertising - you have now become a
full-fledged business. Get a business name!
Yes, a business bank account will cost a few bucks more than a personal
account. But if you can't make that, you're already belly-up.

«¤»QUICK TIPS«¤»
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Use "Incentive Marketing" often. It is the art of giving
your target market the incentive to listen to your sales pitch, opt-in to you newsletter,
etc.
An example would be: filling out a form or submitting your e-mail address
in exchange for a prize or free gift that is of value to you.
-------------------------------
Free for the sake of Free Does NOT work in today's market. It only attracts the
"Freebie Seekers", not your target market. You need to be able to create
show value in your free offer. The best way to do
this is by placing a dollar amount and items like, "limited time" or
"exclusive offer" next to your free offer. If people feel they have gotten
a deal or bargain they will be much more open to your
message and will actually use your freebie.
